This was the first thing we did in SA this trip. It's an amazing entertaining but learning experience. Our guide Wessie was absolutely passionate about 'her' animals and was endlessly patient with questions. As this is a growing conservation centre rehabilitating their rescued animals back into the wild it is a very special place to support and give financial support... More

Incredibly informative and where else can you stroke a cheetah?! A must see for any animal lover! I am 18 and went with my 7 year old sister and we both had a blast! You must eat before or bring your own snacks though, as the food selection is incredibly limited...

We were travelling with our teenage daughter and looking to fill in a day in Johannesburg when I found the The Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre on the internet. We had booked with African Timeout Tours to look after us during our stay so were able to easily add this trip to the itinerary. The trip from Johannesburg allowed us... More

Beautifull animals, can be seen in action during the 8 o'clock run, iff you pay extra you can pet one, and they drive you to the park where you will see also other animals. The guide knows a lot about the animals and the area the life in. I would definitly recommend it, it's not cheap but worth it. ps.... More

We went in June 2011 and joined the cheetah run and three-hour tour, which we thought was fun, interesting and quite informative. Our guide, Amos, seemed passionate about his work in the centre, educating the public about the cheetahs’ and other animals’ struggles for survival in Africa. The Animals all seemed well cared for, happy, healthy and energetic (could have... More

The Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre is fun and enjoyable, and a bit touristy. We went as a way to see some Cheetahs, as there was no guarantee that we would see them in the wild in our later safari. If you can, time your visit so as to catch the Cheetah run, which happens on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and... More

we have been to the wildt cheetah centre and we also decided to sleep in the cheetah lodge. for us it has been an ideal stopover during transfers between sun city/pilanesberg to kruger. as first the lodge: we enjoyed the Elouise hospitality and we have to sincererely thanks her. the lodge is a big villa really well furnished and you... De Wildt Cheetah and Wildlife Centre is now called the Ann Van Dyk Cheetah Centre I went with a group of 3 friend to the early morning, cheetah run and tour. We arrived at 7:45 am Saturday morning to ensure we got great places for photos while the cheetahs ran. As in most cases in South Africa it started rather... More

I lived in South Africa for two years and had several people visit from the U.S. and Europe. This day trip was consistently the highlight of everyone's South African vacation. We probably went eight times in the two years and we enjoyed each time as much as the first. The animals are amazing and you leave with an understanding that... More

What an amazing place! Many people may just go for an afternoon visit and tour. Seeing the cheetahs and wild dogs was great! De Wildt has a beautiful, quaint lodge as well. They also offer wonderful South African tours to other locations. I would recommend making the lodge your home base and hiring Johnny's team to take you on any... More
