This museum takes you through the experience of being either a victim or a perpetrator of Apartheid. The display and information has depth and is mind-searing and touching. It's a must!

I am dissapointed in the way the museum try to show one side. I dont think it is a museum but a political statement.

I am not sure what i was expecting, but I was surprised at how informative and 'real' the experience was, from the moment you step through the entrance which had 'whites only' and 'blacks only' signs. It is a reminder of what intolerance can lead to. And makes one realise how much we have achieved and how apartheid caused so... More

South Africa has been on my bucketlist for so long and when I finally experienced it finding out some background on Apartheid was a must. What an emotional experience and this museum helps to see what occured over such a long time.

Both educational and personally moving. I spent well over two hours here and there was still much to see.

This is a must see while in Johannesburg, along with Constitution Hill and Robbens Island in Cape Town. A combination of all 3 is extremely moving and a deep insight into the plague called apartheid that overran this country under some of the most brutal colonial rule any where in the world. I come from India, and while I did... More

Apartheid Museum is not quite the right name. I was disappointed that it did not really show how apartheid impacted on all aspects of the lives of ordinary people. It does, however, provide a wealth of information on the struggle against apartheid.
