Being from the USA, I have visited many different "Marine World" type parks. BUT, never was I offered the opportunity to snorkel, or go under water with sharks! So fun! The aquarium that they have is so cool! It is presented as a shipwreck, and the amount of sea life on display is incredible! Bravo Ushaka! more

We visited the Ushaka marine park in February 2003. This is a new attraction which forms part of the redevelopment of Durban. If you a atying in the golden mile. This is one of the largest Aquariums in the Southern hemisphere. An American designer has created a "shipwreck" through which visitors wander, looking at HUGE sharks and rays, jellies, and an enormous variety of Indian Ocean flora and fauna.
