My boyfriend and I were on a short stay in Wilderness. I love to ride often, while he has been on a ride once or twice. Lyndsay was incredible accommodating by email and recommended horses for us based on what I told her we wanted out of the ride. On the day, Paul was our guide and he was fantastic,... More

What a ride we had into the beautiful indigenous forests of South Africa on some of the most stunning horses I have ever seen a Trail business have! Paul was an amazing guide and we enjoyed our 3 hour ride to the waterfall which actually felt like it passed us in a flash. Lyndsay, the owner, was most welcoming and... More

We phoned Lindsay pretty spontaneously, she was really friendly and uncomplicated. We agreed on a 1.5 h trip on the same evening. Black Horse Trails has a very family-like atmosphere, the horses are maintained entirely presentable, they were kind, healthy and well educated. Paul, an excellent rider, and the two of us had a brilliant time, enjoying nature at its... More

Lindsay was welcoming as a hostess and very helpful. Paul (our guide) was very informative and a great teacher. The most beautiful forests on the way to the rock pools. Very romantic for a couple and great fun as a family! A memorable day! Would do it again!

My sister and I took our children ( ranging from 6 to 13) on an outride. We varied from unaware of danger to nervous as hell and from beginner to "wanting to gallopr". Lyndsay , the owner, took everything in her stride with a calmness that must come from being around horses so much and a smile. She exudes confidence... More

We had a great time with the guide. The guides were very knowledgable about the surrounding forest and routes we took. The horses are beautiful and well kept. Even the inexperienced horse riders in our group felt comfortable.  We will definitely go back there when doing the garden route. Just wish we had taken more pictures. Beautiful surroundings and a... We had a fantastic 1 and a half hour ride into the forest, it was only the second time my daughter and myself had been on a horse but we had a great trail guide/Horse Riding Instructor who taught us all the basics:) The Trail guide was very friendly and great with kids! The scenery was beautiful and the horses... More

I had a 3 hours ride to the waterfall. Nice guide. Horses are well behaved and easy to handle. Nice cantering as well, suited to the abilities of the riders. Very pleasant experience.
