“Lots of rhino but missed the elephants”

We saw a lot of buck, warthogs and rhino, all with babies. We encountered a wildebeest sleeping close to the road and saw many other small animals and birdlife. We were told elephant had been spotted and rushed to the spot and circled but to no avail. A pleasant experience for us as we are casual game spotters.

“If you are in the north, this park is really worth a visit.”

Don't miss the extraordinary views from 'Confluence' over the Limpopo river. Think of booking in advance an 'sunrise' walk with a park ranger. You will get very interesting information on the history of the park and the region and if you are lucky see the ollies and other wildlife

We spent 2 delightful days in this lovely National Park. We stayed in Leokwe Camp, which was one of the nicest SANParks facilities we have stayed at over the years.
