I recently did the Bikes 'n Wines Vineyard Meander tour with a group of friends. We met our guide, Carl, in Long street at 7am and together with others on the tour, walked to Cape Town Train Station to head off to Stellenbosch. Carl was friendly and relaxed - exactly what we needed early on a Sunday morning. When we... More

A great day was had by our family on the Vineyard Meander tour. This is a very different bike tour if you are familiar with city tours such as Fat Tire. Instead of city /paved road riding, this tour consists of back roads riding, where you get a feeling of the countryside. The vineyards visited along with the brandy distillery,... More

I booked a trip with this company after seeing them on tripadvisor. I contacted them via email and I found them very helpful. I dealt with Owen while booking. They gave us clear instructions on where to meet them and what we were going to be doing while with them. I asked to include a visit to the Cheetah Sanctuary... More

I have been on bike tours in many cities around the world and this one was fun. It was very different than a city tour. We road along dirt roads and viewed the outdoors. The ride was easy, a bit bumpy at times, but fun. Our guide, Dale, was attentive but not over bearing during our wine tastings and lunch.... More

Booked the 9km 'Vineyard Meander' tour via the internet for a holiday to South Africa. My wife and I were advised to meet our guide at the Stellenbosch Tourism Centre at 9:30am for the tour. We met our tour guide who told us to follow him to the bike shed where the other guests were meeting at 10:30am. The bike... More

Booked well ahead for visitors from UK, arrived at pick up point, no show of guide, another couple in same position. Lady in tourist information said this had happened before. Phoned Bike'n'wines finally their guide arrived, 1.30 hours late. Meant to get train to bike shed but very dirty taxi arrived and took us. Because of delay hurried lunch missing... More

My wife and I loved the tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip around the cape. It's well organized and the guides are quite friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The vineyards and brandy distillery visits were excellent. We especially loved the Spier estate and the pinotage there is great (try the 2009) . The 21km involves a... More

A friend treated me to a bikes n wines tour for my birthday. We started out bright and early with a train ride through to the Stellenbosch winelands, even though I am a born and bread Capetonian, this is something that I have never done before, It is definately a new way to see the cape. Our guide was friendly... More

I like to be active on vacation and this trip really was worth it. The biking was not hard, but this trip was not for the total couch potato. We rode on dirt trails, did some small hill climbing and generally felt like we were taking backroads everywhere. The winery selection was good for the novice Stellenbosch visitor that I... More

We scheduled a bikes n wines day tour while we were visiting Cape Town and they were happy to charge my credit card as an advance payment. We showed up at 7 am along with about 10 others at the appointed location and waited with no guide, no phone calls, no emails for an hour before we decided that wasting... More
