Nothing spectacular about the shopping, but the food was excellent. A very diverse selection of foods...I stuffed myself like a pig!

Lots of arts and crafts, lovely home made foods(From german pizza's to ostrich steak gourmet burgers). A bit pricey, but it is to be expected of a touristy place. Please remember to draw some cash prior to your visit as most of the stalls only take cash, some do take cards.
We went on a very busy weekend and it...

I expected the usual fare from local flea market -arts, cratfs, fast food. What I got was a teeming, festive market, with a lot less arts and crafts and a range of food that left one in state of shock- what to taste first?? The atmosphere was vibrant, the service friendly and quick. Eventually, we found some elbow space at...

The food available was the best food in one spot I have seen on this earth!! But, it was so crowded, I could hardly move. Getting a table or seat was so competitive- I saw a lady dive under a picnic table to get one! There must be a better way to spread out the vendors. I was expecting a...

The girls in the family spend more time walking around the arts, crafts, handbags, accessories areas. I soon head for the food "tent". The first thing that you bump into is a trailer full of loaves of fresh bread. The senses get teased from the start. The flowers, especially proteas are exceptional. Then its waffles, pancakes, pestos, muffins, cheeses, unbelievable...

This is an amazing farmers market. There is a wide variety of foods from all over the world and it is all so good! I ate a ton just because everything was so interesting and delicious. There's nice clothing stores, art stores, etc. to shop at as well. It gets pretty busy so I'm guessing the earlier, the better. The...

The market at the old biscuit mill is, in my opinion, the best in Cape Town at the moment. The fare on offer is fresh and tasty, the crafts are unique and interesting and the atmosphere is great.
One negative (and it is hardly a negative) is that it is extremely full, and getting around with 2 kids can be...

The Saturday morning market is a must-do if you are in cape town! Great vendors, great food. Really awesome. Very similar to the "Eastern Market" in Washington DC.
I went here on a recent visit back home and the Saturday morning market is a food lovers dream. 5 minutes from the city centre where you can get deli sized portions of the best food you will ever find under one roof along with great drinks and a great crowd. Highly recommended
Frequnted by Capetonians and visitors alike The Biscuit Mill has something for everybody. Wonderful selection of foodstuffs to satisfy discerning palates including Ghoulash ( one of my favourites ) The downside, because it's so popular it tends to get super busy. My tip - go early and go hungry !
