Peaceful zone in the centre of town, but also a centre for the history of the town, with parliament next door and museums all around. Great views of Table Mountain from the bottom of the park. Well worth a visit.

Trade the cityscape and the rush of the Cape Town streets, for the Company Gardens and enjoy some fresh air and splendid sightseeing. The Company Gardens is a carefully manicured botanical garden, laden with impressive monuments and a few points of National and historical interest. Many people use the gardens as a means of access to the surrounding parts of... More

Friendly atmosphere with bustle of people of every walk of life passing through, complemented by peace of leafy shade. Minimal road noise. Very close to St. George's Cathedral and National Museum etc. - rest your tourist feet in between the sights!

Nice place, many people, everyone feeding the animals in the park which can be very fun. The garden is sometimes dirty but its probably because of the birds and people who come for picnic to the garden. It's nice to see this place and to feed the squirrels and also the birds. Its very interesting.

good to get in touch with Nature. Feed the squirrels peanuts (bought from the vendors locally). A fair number of beggars on the walk way. Watch your purse and don't look too obviously from "outta town".

Wonderful, peaceful garden, right in the center of the city. Take a moment to re-charge energies in the shade under the ancient trees

Go early in the morning (opens at 7am, 7 days a week) for the best early light and peaceful experience. Beautiful gardens, spoiled a little by litter. A common place for homeless people to find a bench. Includes a pear tree thought to have been cultivated in the time of van Riebeek (17th C), making it one of the oldest... More

Company's Gardens is a great venue for a picnic and lazy afternoon. With large expanses of grass and shade trees, you can spend hours here with a good book and a few snacks. Then if you get tired of lazing about you can go visit one of the many museums that border the park. A definite must-see.
