whether you're a tourist or a local the aquarium is always worth a visit with constantly updated displays and a wealth of potential knowledge to gain. I au pair for children in Cape Town and they request the aquarium everytime! I once took a little boy four time in one week! there is a great interactive play area downstairs with... More

We enjoyed the aquarium but it's definitely not one of Cape Town's "must do's". We had a rainy afternoon free though so had a good time.

really busy, and the tanks seemed tiny for the animals in them. Not much to see and I just felt cruel being there and supporting them

It felt a little pricey at the time, but I guess it is one of those things you have to experience at least once.

The people in Cape Town seem very proud of the Aquarium. I have been to the Californi aqarium and the one in Vancouver, so I guess my frame of reference was a bit high. The "two ocean" theme didn't seem well played out. If your time is limited, so something else.

World class and well presented, well worth the visit. The kids want to go there on every visit to Cape Town.

One of my favouritre places to visit with exhibits from both oceans (Indian and Atlantic). A lovely place to visit on a gloomy day with the kids. Good hands-on stuff for them to get involved in.

I have visited a few times and always love it! There is always a new display or a new talk to attend. My personal favorite is the kelp forest and of course the shark tank! It's a well laid out aquarium, just wander around and you will see everything, it's a great experience to walk from one level to the... More

Aquarium shows a nice display of marine life and it's also very informative with feeding shows of penguins and sharks. Kid's love those. If you are more adventurous, you can also book a dive in the shark tank.

Must do the aquarium especially if you have kids. It was a fun experience in comparison to other aquariums.
