You get some stunning views of the city from the Table mountain. The cable car experience itself is unique. The cloud cover on the mountain stops the cable car and we got lucky after waiting for almost 3 days. So if you are in cape town only for a day or 2 it may help to check the weather forecasts...

My husband and I have done all different walks up to Table Mountains between 2006 -2008. We throughly enjoyed the route from Constantia Neck, which is on the way to Hout Bay. Plenty of parking for the walkers and the pub over the road from the car park when you returned from the walk is very nice n cozy. Very...

If you are in Cape Town you must go to the top of Table Mountain. The views are spectacular and the walking areas very comfortable and maintained. I loved the ride up, the cable car turns so everyone gets a good view.

This should be number one on your list of attractions to visit in Cape Town. As soon as the weather allows, set of early to take the cable car to the top. You can alos hike to the top, but do not attempt this on your own. Ask a local hiking club like Meridian's or the Christian Hiking Network to...

You simply cannot visit Cape Town and not come here. Once you have got over the shock of the cable car ascent, you get out above the clouds. Can be windy but what views! Be careful though as the mists (known locally as the table cloth) come in quickly and often shut down the cable car!

Amazing photos - a must in Cape Town. Make sure you get up there as it is often cloudy (at least during our visit) so you want to make it up there when you have clear weather.

hike up the mountain as its a lovely hike. I hike up through the gorge which is the steepest but apparently the best hike. we cablewayed it down which was amazing
