You will be 'poorer' if you do not do a 1/2 day township tour. We went with the grassroots company and it was excellent, the guide grew up in a township so we got an excellent perpective. Cost is 290 rand per person more

It's almost two years since we first visited Langa in a small group (which is esssential)which was led by a guy from the township ,which is also essential by the way!We loved it so much especially the tiny tots in the nursery there which has benefitted greatly from visitor revenue that it's a number one location for this years visit... more

An absolute must-see. Don't go on your own, look for a tour company that takes SMALL groups (a lot of the rooms you will see are very small).
