We spend a couple of hours here but would have liked to stay all day. The birds are magnificent and to be able to get so close to them is amazing. Tip:watch out for the owls that nest on the ground - I nearly stood on one because it was so well camoflagued. more

tipical animal zoo where you feel the pity for the animals in cages. poor animals. beautiful animals (majority birds) in small and dirty cages, that makes the animals soo sad. how bad is to see a beautiful big eagle or great owl in a small and dirty cage. the zoo needs renovation and enlargements. better avoid. more

This is a must-do if you're an animal lover. My husband and I even enjoyed World of Birds over Table Mountain, if that gives you any indication! Coming from the US, there's nowhere like World of Birds back home; we were able to get inside the cages with almost all of the birds (including huge hornbills, turkey vultures, and owls).... more

Went there with the family in July 2007 while visiting Cape Town. Lots of birds, and lots of enclosed areas where you can get close to the birds (and they to you, like it or not) and monkeys. Was fun, would pick this over the aquarium every time. more
