We had lunch here on the veranda. The service was very good, and the food and wine were excellent. Make sure you book, as its very popular. We loved their signature wine 'Christine'.

Buitenverwachting is situated on the hillside in a beautiful location. The approach through the vines is spectacular. The tasting room is always cool & never crowded. The staff are friendly & very generous with their free tastings of the excellent selection of wines. Afterwards, treat yourself to a picnic. Remember to make a reservation beforehand.

Excellent wines, perfect food, very pleasant atmosphere, superb service. By far the best experiences (with repeats) of our trip. Reservation in advance necessary, prefer window seating.

We went here for our first wine tasting of three Constantia vineyards. Buitenverwachting is a great location with beautiful views, gardens, restaurant and wine tasting setup. Doing the Constantia Wine trail, fetched up at Buitenverwatchting and had excellent, free wine tasting, very helpful and informative staff, other facilities, shop, restaurants looked good too

Peaceful, relaxing time spent enjoying atmosphere and food

One of the few places still offering a free tasting. A lovely wine farm with a good selection of wines on offer. We didn't lunch at the restaurant but it also looked good. Took a couple of bottles with us!

The wine farm is in a gorgeous area and also location. Fantastic vistas all around.
