What a pity the train no longer travels from Knysna to George. The museum needs more visitors.

On rainy days visit local artist in Wilderness for unusual but original African art or visit the Railway Museum & explore the collection of old trains & vintage cars.

Nice museum that brings back good memories for those who used trains in the past. Lots of old steamtrains, and a good collection od old cars.monly recommendation whoild be having guides to explain some of the history of the trains.

Interesting exhibits not well organized- could do with a little renavation

Museum was ok a perhaps a little dated in displays and basic but the surroundings are well worth the trip beautiful views and lovely place to sit and enjoy the view.

Lovely to see the old railway carriages and ox carts

I spent an hour or so wandering round on a recent trip along the Garden Route. Very much enjoyed seeing the preserved steam loco's, but was disappointed that there was little in the way of explanation and story of South African steam. It is most unexpected to find such a well-appointed transport museum in a place such as George. The facilities are first class. Most of the trains are under one roof and in top condition. Well worth a visit.

We visited by chance as we booked on the powervan. It was amazing. We all enjoyed it sooooo much. Well worth a visit!!
