A rather disappointing visit. We had first visited Cango Wildlife Ranch 9 years ago and had thoroughly enjoyed it. This time we were with our sons (both in their mid 30s) and their partners. It has all become rather naff and I felt embarrassed at persuading them all to go there. Teens and younger would probably enjoy it more. The... More

I have to say that I did not enjoy this as much as I thought I would. Firstly, because we were 20 minutes early, while waiting for our tour to start, we were told we could walk around the ranch which we enjoyed a lot, took pictures of the animals, it was fun. We then started our tour which started... More

My wife got to interact and play with 3 white tiger cubs, 4.5 months old :). They have a bridge walkway through all the enclosures that gives you a very good vantage point so you can see the cats well. Yes the animals are in captivity and not roaming free, it is a sanctuary after all. By far the best... More

excellent tour guide - lots of information about the vital conservation work done at the Ranch Took opportunity to have an optional extra of 'encounter' with two adult cheetah's - what an honour. Keepers stayed close and even took photos with my camera. Amazing experience

We came across Cango as passers by but became grandparents. We spent a fantastic time doing a tour then did hands on encounters with 3 Bengal tiger cubs followed by another with 2 Cheetahs around 3 years old. This put us on the animal side of the fence, fantastic! After such an experience we just had to join the adoption... More

When touring the Karoo we also visited the Cango Wildlife Ranch and were very satisfied with what it offers. A special feature are the boardwalks above the animals' compounds that offer an unimpeded view and allow for taking great pictures. The animals are very well cared for and Cango is more than a zoo as it aims to protect and... More

I traveled to Cango Ranch as part of a volunteer program from Canada. During my stay, I got to work alongside many of the trainers, employees, and management, and got to see first hand their true passion for working with animals of all sorts. It was touching and inspiring to see the relationships that many of the trainers had with... More

We took a trip in Dec/Jan for the holidays and to introduce our four year old to the beauty of South Africa. We made the two hour drive (one way) to Oudtshoorn because we had heard that Cango Wildlife Ranch could not be missed. The rumors were absolutely true! It is more than apparent that the wildlife is perfectly cared... More

The animals seem very happy and in great condition. We all commented that the male lion was the finest we have seen. The tour was fun. The men in our party did the spots and stripes encounter - adult cheetahs and 6 month old white tiger cubs. The ladies and girls were lucky enough to go in with the 3... More

I've went there many years back and boy has it changed. The place is amazing, all the animals you can think of and you get really close to the Lions and other wild animals.
