Hearing about this place was fascinating, i'd never set foot in such a place before. You can get to the very top of the theatre, just be prepared for some steep steps. I'm aware they still use it today for open air shows - i'm a little bit gutted we weren't able to see this during our time there. If... More

This is fantastic how they have renovated this and do lots of shows here throughout the summer as well.Great to explore and gets your heart pumping climbing the steps to the top.Take your camera, some great shots from the top,and the kids will love it.Could hear my wife in the theatre at the bottom when I was at the top.Better... This amphitheatre really is quite amazing as it is almost totally intact. Considerably smaller than the Colliseum (Rome) but its size is also part of its charm. Some of the detail on the stonework is incredrible. If you only see one thing on your trip to this area, I would definitely recommend this - more than worth it.

The intact-ness and completeness of the theater takes your breath away. A perfect example of a Roman Theater. If you want to test the acoustics, but don't feel like singing for the whole theater to hear, then have your friends sit somewhere away from you and talk into the curved stone part underneath any bench. They can hear you perfectly.... More

This is the kind of place you don't want to miss. This Roman amphitheatre is really well preserved. I would suggest to hire a guide so don't miss the interesting history of the place.

Of all of the theaters I visited in Turkey and Greece, this was possibly the best. It was definitely the biggest. If you are in the area, this is definitely a place to visit. It is fairly well intact and gives you a decent idea of what it was like to be in a Greek theater. The only problem is... More

I'm a classical civilisation student and having the opportunity to visit a site so important to people in the ancient world was great. Aspendos is beautiful and well preserved. It is totally worth going up all the steps to take a picture! Unfortunately there are no people there who speak English that can explain everything to you about the history... More
