This was a well organied evening where I could practice my Spanish and meet a wide range of Argentinians. Not only do you practice language skills, you get to have some interesting and varied conversations. You also here different accents. The event organisers are friendly and they run the events effectively. A must for anyone learning Spanish in Buenos Aires

I came from the US to Argentina and found this event to be even better than taking Spanish Classes. Great chance to meet new people while learning the language in a natural setting. I have already made friends with the people who return frequently and learn more about them each day. Great work Spanglish, buen onda! Espero que lo haga... More

I'm currently studying in Buenos Aires for a semester so Spanglish has been a great way for me to practice my Spanish. This is a great way to meet locals, practice your Spanish and learn about the culture. The staff who organize Spanglish are very helpful, friendly, and organized! The price for students is great (20 pesos per event with... More

Excellant idea - great value with good people. I'm studying Spanish at an immersion-type school in BsAs. Spanglish gives me a chance to practice what I've learned - and provides information on what I need to work on. I'm a beginner, and I find that people at every level are supportive and encouraging. Great access to locals - and also... More

I come to Buenos Aires every year and Spanglish is one of my highlights. Not only is it an opportunity to practice talking Spanish but a great way to meet locals, ask questions about attractions, culture and life in general. Just as enjoyable is meeting other English speaking travellers and enjoying some great cocktails and wines. In Buenos Aires I... More

I've been going to Spanglish for the past 3 weeks I have been here. I've only been able to attend the Tuesday night Beerlingual and Friday night in Recoleta. But, I highly recommend both of them. There's such a wide variety of people to meet. I will be here for a year, so it was a great way to practice... More

This is a great way to meet poteños and practice some basic spanish. However, the format of 5 minute 'speed dates' can be a little awkward and hamper conversation. I have bee a few times, but rarely got passed the 'My name is . . . I am from . . . I work as a . . ." stage.... More

Hi, Phil! Glad you think it's a great idea and we're sorry you find it too expensive. Believe it or not, despite rampant inflation in Buenos Aires, earlier this year we actually lowered the price of the monthly pass. Frequent Spanglishers (those who attend 5-7 times a month using the pass) end up spending around 5-6USD per Spanglish, which we... More

I had first heard about Spanglish from a girl working at the US embassy in Buenos Aires when I went for help after having had my passport stolen. At first I wasn't so sure of the idea, it sounded silly and a little to social for my liking. People kept mentioning it to me during my stay in Buenos Aires,... More

I thought the idea was clever and would provide me with a great way to meet others who are sympathetic to spanish/english mistakes and would be a good time. Maybe I had higher expectations of what it would be like, but for me it wasnt worth it. The girl who ran it was really "fake nice" and when she asked... More

A friend of mine had recommended Spanglish to me, and told me that it was a must do when I went to BA. My Spanish is pretty limited, but the people I met there were really nice, and even got to practice a bit more than just English with me (French is my native language). The atmosphere was super relaxed,... More
