Great experience and nice way to discover the city of Buenos Aires, surprising yourself with the images you could take ! The staff is friendly and commentaries on your pic very usefull for the next ones. To put it on your "to do list".

Last Saturday I participated in Foto Ruta in Recoleta, Buenos Aires and I was so impressed by the experience I thought I have to write something to tell other people about this.
It’s a completely unique way to experience the city. What did I like?

I attended the foto ruta session in the Monserrat not knowing exactly what to expect and the impression i got was that of having being involved in a creative photography workshop that focused on a particular neighborhood of Buenos Aires.
I showed up at the appointed coffee bar carrying only my little iPod camera and after an instruction session in...

I thought the tour was a really awesome way to see Buenos Aires through different eyes. Even if you have never used a camera in your life I can assure you there will be something in the pictures that is worth it that you might not have noticed or anticipated. The girls are friendly and knowledgable of the area and...

I booked in for Foto-Ruta in Buenos Aires while I was on my travels through South America. I don't often go on organised trips but this one had been recommended to me by a fellow-traveller so I thought I would give it a go. Firstly we all met in a cafe in Villa Crespo, which is a more unknown area...

I have been living in BA for a bit and often found that when friends come to visit I am a bit stuck on what they should do. BA is a great place to live, but not such a great place to visit with limited days as tourist sites are scarce. However, foto ruta has proved to be a complete...

The ladies that organise and run Foto Ruta are professional and interesting, and if you're looking for a do-it-yourself, treasure hunt style tour of a Buenos Aires barrio, this is an ok way to spend an afternoon.
I was expecting more of a traditional site seeing tour, with a focus on photographing the less well known sites, while getting advice...

Hi Russell thanks for you feedback! We're so sorry it wasn't what you expected. As Foto Ruta is quite a unique event/concept we actually make it quite clear that it's not a guided tour, both on both our website and on all the information we send participants once they've booked. For those who want a more traditional / guided tour...

I loved the whole thing! I only wish it lasted longer. Steer photography in the barrios was a great break from the tourist attractions! The leaders were so nice and awesome to work with. A must-do in BAS.
Definitely do Foto Ruta in a barrio off the tourist map that you want to get to know better. I went alone and did the Montserrat tour. It wasn't awkward, even though I don't generally go do this kind of thing alone. I am also a resident of BA now and enjoyed it. I surprised myself with the interesting photos...
