The palace is beautiful and can be toured in about an hour. Check with your hotel or at the Casa Rosada to see when the guided tours are offered - definitely worth a visit. From what I remember, there was no charge and the plaza is accessible from several subway stops. more
It was surprisingly easy to get in. As soon as we walked in, there was a Spanish language tour starting. The tour was being given by a young man in traditional (old style) military clothes. The Casa Rosada is the equivalent of the White House in the United States. It is where Eva Peron addressed the people of Argentina, and the Plaza de Mayo is down in front of it. It is hard to miss on the Plaza for it is rose (or pink) colored. Some might not know, but on the right side there... more
