The MALBA is the best museum in Argentina if what you're looking forward to do is to get in contact with the best latinamerican arts and artists. Its building shows an exquisite taste for modern architecture with a beautiful facade. It also organizes interesting courses related to literature and arts. more

Great museum that is large enough without feeling unmanageable. Art work is wonderful with many famous pieces including Kahlo, Rivera, and other well known Latin American Artists. Only need about 30 minutes to see the whole thing, and a wonderful museum, recently having undergone a 13 million dollar renovation. more

I had my reservations after reading some so-so reviews of this museum. I decided to give it a try anyway since I was in the area. I paid 5 pesos per person instead of the usual 15 pesos ( It was a Wednesday). I figured what could go wrong with 5 pesos. I was happily surprised with the airy atrium.... more

So we had read RAVE reviews about MALBA, so we went to check it out. I am not much of an art buff, so this review may be biased, but I found this visit to be a waste of time. The building is beautiful and immaculate, but I would def skip this if you 1) aren't really into art or... more

I had no idea what contemporary Latin American Art looked like, but after a visit to this compact collection housed in a spare and airy space I feel like I have a good foundation. It is possible to see the entire collection in less than two hours. The building with its all white interior and 3 story atrium, is nice... more

Overview: This museum is located in a new modern impressive building. It has a neat noise meter in front of the building that kind of resembles a traffic light. This museum houses a number of modern works of art, although the collection is small. The cost to visit in 0ctober 2008 was 15 pesos. Good: There were some nice works... more

I enjoyed this fine art museum geared to those who appreciate twentieth century Latin American Art. I saw splendid paintings by Diego Rivera,Frida Kahlo,Joaquin Torres-Garcia,Jose Cuneo,Tarsila Do Amaral, and Emilio Di Cavalcanti just to mention a few. Argentines well-represented were Antonio Berni,Xul Solar, and Alfredo Guttero. My favorite painting was Berni's "Chelsea Hotel". This museum is also a splendid work of architecture... more

MALBA was supposedly a free museum, however it costs 20 pesos per person. Worth 20 pesos for sure, but irritated over their claim of free admission. Very small. more
