The Feria de Mataderos runs every weekend year round and is the best of its type in Argentina. The food, crafts, gaucho competitions and, especially, music. I do trips to this fair in my Lincoln Town car all the time and my customers love it! You want to get there before 1:30PM because that's when the free folklore shows start, then after is the gaucho competition, where the gauchos have the horses at full speed and try to put their sword through a tiny ring. We visited the Feria de Matadoros today with some doubts as to whether it was a worthwhile use of time to travel so far.
