Unfortunetly this park is not well conserved. The City Government try to do some changes, but do not fit with the area. Also nobody take care of the garden. Neighbours can't enjoy the are during weekends because of the fair. Nothing special in it, they say is handcraft..... but most are not.

Could be beautiful, because of the nice buildings, museums and gardens in the surroundings, but it's dangerous, full of beggars sleeping in the street and rough-looking men who follow you with his eyes. care, especially at night.

I am not sure where this plaza begins or ends. There is a sign for it but ask locals and each will give you a different location of the plaza. So it's not a small plaza but rather a park area. You are near the recoleta cemetery, there is a long sidewalk fair that seems to be going all the... More

Don't hesitate--go to the Artisan's Market held at Plaza Francia each Saturday and Sunday. The variety and quality of the handmade items is excellent and the prices are reasonable. The market itself is huge and set up in a maize like jumble of paths but if you go the same way twice you are sure to see different things so... More

It's near REcoleta. You an visit the cementery and the Pilar Church. Every week end there is a nice artisans market there and musicians and clowns and dancers in the park. A lively and nice place to visit dont't miss it.

IMHO, this park has the best fare. It is big, you can find clothes, silver and leather bracelts, earings, "mates" and "bombillas", and all sorts of crafts. The surroundings are a must see too. The Recoleta neighbourhood, the most accomodated in the city, has the cemetery close by, there are great bars and discos, movies, the church, the Museum of... More

this is a great spot to see a lot of BA in a small area. starting with the Recoleta cemetery, you can go in -for free- and visit the tombs of local celebrities and historic figures. walking down a few meters to Av. del Libertador you will find the original chapel that used to be the heart of this whole... OMG...you MUST visit Plaza Francia on Saturday or Sunday, for one of the city's most amazing open-air local craft/artesan fairs! We had read about it in one of our guidebooks...but, seeing is believing! There were artists/craftsman making & selling all sorts of things: belts/purses/slippers/jewelry/curios/...there's not enough room in this "review box" to describe everything we saw being made/sold there. One... More
