Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There was a sign on the door that said closed for maintenance and repair and a new advisory would be issued when done. Very frustrating there was not a schedule given on when it would reopen! We were in town several days and could have gone back if it was reopening while we were there. Disappointed to miss this.

Intereting place to see the type of constructions the Jesuits built, how they connected their churches and buildings, everything below the city, these tunnels were discovered just ssome years ago and they help understand the Jesuit philodophy part of Cordoba's heritage.

Interesting story of this crypt but not much to see and very few explanations. There was a board at the entrance but it's rather small and I'm not sure it's worth the visit.

These cellar ruins are a relatively new find since they were uncovered after many decades of being used as a commercial cellar and largely neglected once the Jesuits fell out of favour and were expelled from Spanish empire in 1770s. It was an immigrant expert who recognised their importance and a great tribute to the mayor of this fine city who decided around 2000 that the whole place be restored. It is after all only a foundation place but it gives you an idea of the energy and the decidated of these Church Militants that they were building for the centuries and not for the decades.

We arrived on the weekend in Cordoba expecting to visit the Cripta. It was closed. The city needs to make big changes to accommodate tourists visiting the city. Por Favor! give someone a job on the weekends and open it up!

Nothing really interesting inside, i believe you dont have to pay unless there is an exposition but the most of the time the place is closed, is right in the middle of the ciy, so you can always check it up.

Although the story of the crypt is interesting, today there is not so much to it and it requires quite a bit of imagination (or comprehension of Spanish to follow one of tours) to envision what it might have been like.

Other crypts were more interesting and much larger but this is worth the 10 to 15 minutes it takes to visit. It is indeed small and easy to miss. A good visit when combined with Cathedral Square and a bus tour of downtown. PS the cost to enter is almost zero.

it is a small spot under the street = seemed like we were just crossing the street - nothing much to see here at all; a crypt in Lima, Peru was much better.

The cripta takes tops 20mins to visit. This is a recent found for the city of Cordoba. There are not tons of things to see but if you are visiting downtown Cordoba: please do not miss it.

Saludos.
