I visited the Arizona Museum of Natural History twice in the same week - once as a teacher on a field trip, and once as a mom. Everyone loved it! This museum is much larger than I expected, with plenty of hands-on displays and activities for the kids along with information for all to read. Some favorites for the kids... More

This museum is absolutely stuffed with interactive exhibits for children guaranteed to entertain and educate them (yes!) for hours. Yet adults will thoroughly enjoy themselves, too. Take a trip through the Lost Dutchman Mine, pan for gold in a stream bed, spend a quiet moment in the old Mesa jail (!), experience a thunderstorm and flash flood, visit a Hohokam... More

Museum maintains many rooms of displays on dinosaurs, native American culture, has an art section, currently has a pterosaurs exhibit made by and for this museum. Friendly staff and interesting items in the gift shop. Has a very well done 'trip through time' tunnel/hallway that takes you through the history of life on earth. A must visit for families, many...
