It is so small that it's not worth the trip just for skiing or snowboarding purposes. It does have some stunning views, but you'll get bored by the 2nd or 3rd day.

We had ski lessons there and I believe we could learn the basics. The Cerro offers ski options for beginners and advanced skiiers. Good restaurant on the top. Good local food.

Our family visited Villa La Angostura in November 2009 to run the Salomon K42 trail marathon over Villa La Angostura. Although we have no experience skiing Cerro Bayo -- which is its main attraction -- we spent a good deal of time running its main road and trails to train for the race.
