We were there in may when the autumn is starting, thetrees are changing and the landscape is changing. You can connect to the nature and be calm just hearing the wind through the trees, everything is magical

A lovely little gem of a village in the national park. Wonderful accommodations right on the lake and cute little restaurants as well as the warmth of the people make this place one of our favorite in the entire world!

After reading the reviews I felt I had to post, the town is strictly a tourist trap! It is designed to get tourist money, most of the shops are over priced, if you shop around you quickly realize the prices arent low, but high. Some stores have signs on them saying 25% off if you pay cash, but they have... More

Villa la Angostura is a pretty little village in a beautiful surrounding. Unfortunately at the moment the area is having troubles with the volcano ash of the near volcano which doesn't stop. All is a little dusty, but apart from that it is still very very beautiful. The lake has a clear turquoise color, we where so impressed. We liked... More

The town resembles a European ski resort. There is one main street with shops and restaurants both sides. There is plenty of food choice however most restaurants close between lunch and dinner and dinner doesn't start until 8pm. The shops are a mixture of outdoor pursuit, souvenirs and chocolate shops. There is a tourist information at one end of the... More

Unfortunately for us the volcanic ashes were terrible in Villa la Angostura when we visited in October. Some days we couldn`t see the beautiful nature but on a clear day it was absolutely breathtaking.
