A lovely little gem of a village in the national park. Wonderful accommodations right on the lake and cute little restaurants as well as the warmth of the people make this place one of our favorite in the entire world!
We are very happy we took a day to come back ,as we were here long time ago , and we afraid due to the ashes everybody in Bariloche said were bad ,but was not like that . We wnt to the Garden Fiesta , very nice ,with good music and food -

People are very friendly and need tourists. The area is beautiful and the lakes are fantantistic.
Villa la Angostura is a pretty little village in a beautiful surrounding.
Unfortunately at the moment the area is having troubles with the volcano ash of the near volcano which doesn't stop.
All is a little dusty, but apart from that it is still very very beautiful. The lake has a clear turquoise color, we where so impressed.

The town resembles a European ski resort. There is one main street with shops and restaurants both sides. There is plenty of food choice however most restaurants close between lunch and dinner and dinner doesn't start until 8pm.

Unfortunately for us the volcanic ashes were terrible in Villa la Angostura when we visited in October. Some days we couldn`t see the beautiful nature but on a clear day it was absolutely breathtaking.
