“A shadow of the former charm”

I found Centro Civico a sad shadow of its former enchantment, overrun by teens hanging out (but minding their own business) and the interesting equestrian statue of General Roca defaced by graffiti and political flags. You still can get your picture taken with the Saint Bernard dog (if you enjoy clichés).

Great trekking, but rent a car and stay as far away as possible. Jauja Heladeria (on Perrito Moreno) is the only reason to come to the Centro Civico

The map from turism is a must, it shows several cool things to see. Cerro Campanario, Cerro Auto, Cerro Tronador, Cascada De Los Duendes, and the seven Lakes route.
