This full day excursion was a full day of activities! The 1.5-hour bus ride to the canoe launch was painful, but thanks to our very knowledgeable guides, we learned so much about Tierra del Fuego, Ushuaia and overall Argentina history. We had a lovely time sailing on the Beagle channel last weekend. We went with the Patagonian Explorer, which offers tours in both english and Spanish. I believe the cost was around 130 pesos per person for a 3 1/2 hour tour. Note that there's not much difference between the tour companies. They all make the same route. The only... more

The city of Ushuaia is right on the Beagle Channel and the downtown area is a great place to see all the local folks and have a Argentina BBQ for less than 10 US dollars, in fact the cost was 19 argentian, which is devided by 3 to get the US dollar cost. About 6 plus change for all you... more
