My husband and I stopped in a for a quick soak while in Banos. We were there at night so the waterfall was nicely lit and made for good ambiance. The water was quite murky, but I was warned it was minerals that make the water a brownish colour. The hot pools are on the first floor, the "not as... More

I'm probably just a bit paranoid and overly germ conscious, but I had to wonder about the cleanliness. The setting is absolutely gorgeous. Still, I prefer Santa Ana (open weekends only), and El Salado - on the other side of town, and in a very nice setting too!

Better get there early! The pools are almost always crowded. Drained and cleaned daily at 5pm. Towels can be rented downstairs for $1. Taxis are hard to come by when you are leaving, so be prepared to walk wet into town to find one.

I do not recomend the place. we went to look at it (they let us in). IThe place was crowded with people who stood next to each other in two small pools. It looked very dirty and unpleasant.

Went here several times while in banos. Nice hot springs, adequate facilities but it is often overcrowded with families and tons of children. Sometimes it seems one of the pools is reserved or held for adults only but usually children end up coming in anyways. For $2 during the day or $3 in the evening (6-10) it's a nice way... More

The Piscinas were a lot of fun. They were nice and felt amazing. The different temperatures were a great contrast and sitting in the pools watching the waterfall was awesome. We got to see where the natural hot spring was as well. Great value, a must.

I have spent $25 in other SA countries for similar hot springs. Yeah, the place is run down, but clean. And yes, the water looks icky, (greenish-yellow). But I was there for afternoon recess and they were draining and refilling the super hot pool area. So don't worry about the water. I have been there a few times and never... More
