There are certain things one thinks about doing, but never quite get around to doing them; soaring in a glider is one of these things. We happened to be nearby and unexpectedly dropped in just to make some enquiries. I asked when I could take a flight and was told: "right now !". So without thinking, the next thing I... More

What a fantastic experience! A birthday gift from my wife and the pilot was fantastic. Expected to just sit back and enjoy but was actually able to fly. Out of this world experience which I recommend to all!

Tried the aerobatic flights and glad we did! Pilot was confident, re-assuring and responsive to our jitters! If you are thinking of doing this - DO IT!!!

Rick was our pilot and he was very thorough and very patient, especially with me screeeeaming out of sheer joy! I took the aerobatics course and this was definitely something. One of the maneuvers had us suspended upside down for a good 3 seconds or so, which really seemed like forever. We had a view of the lake, the ground,... More

I think I am still grinning ear to ear! A friend of mine gave this to me as a gift while visiting AZ. First of all, I must say that my pilot Rick, was amazing. He makes you feel, so at ease, and makes you feel like you're a pro, as he gives tips to you, while YOU fly the... More

I struggle with the right words to describe the experience of piloting a glider. It was magical! I had such a wonderful time, and my instructor Rick was so helpful explaining this and that... He really made the flight memorable, and helped me understand how it all works. The views of lake pleasant were breathtaking and he knew so much... More

Tis glider was a birthday gift. Probably one of the best I ever got. So much fun. So exciting. Great views in a quiet atmosphere. The pilots were so nice and we received a videotaped DVD of it all.

Have always seen glider planes soaring over Lake Pleasant and wanted to jump in one. School was right off the road to Lake Pleasant. Friendly staff. Safety first. Took the aerobatics flight. An amaxing experience to be upside down in a glider. Never knew they could pull complex maneuvers under high Gs. Very cool. Def going again.

This was my first time in a glider plane, and I got to take the stick for a good part of the flight. The instructor was great at helping understand what to do and then letting me take control. I can't wait to do it again.

If you've ever wanted to soar high above the desert, or go on a roller coaster in the sky, the Turf Soaring School near Peoria is well worth a visit. The school offers both soaring flights and aerobatic flights; I opted for the latter. We were towed to 4,000 feet above ground level, and after I pulled the release from... More
