We chose this by googling best courses in Phoenix - I'm not really sure why it was in the Top 10 - there must be many more better, but it was in good shape and challenging in parts. We'd pick Dove Valley over Stonecreek, which was not nearly as scenic as Dove Valley - a lot of homes and apartments... More

I always like playing there. And it's easy to find / get to. The back 9 is my fave.

Played StoneCreek February 13, 2012- I have played many courses in AZ from high end to low end. Stonecreek appeared to be mid-tier based on price $65.00 which was a big discount on week-end rate of $115.00. This is the worst course i have ever played in Arizona. It started with the cart - broken roof, tear in seat, burn... More

Stay in the fairway and you wont be playing pinball. Good layout with some challenging holes.

Played Stone Creek several times during our stay for the month of November... Nice course, good value especially with the Eagle card. Pace of play can be slow, tee times are 8 min apart, first 3 holes are cart path only so this slows things down. Staff are friendly with exception of pro shop, could use some customer service training.... More

The course is great - good layout, decent conditions, challenging and fun. There are four tees to choose from and the ladies tees were helpful to the cause. The bunkers were well-placed and the greens all rolled pretty true. Price was fantastic - we payed $40 for an afternoon tee time. Staff in the bar was nice. GPS on the... More

We played in October, not long after they reopened from over seeding. The course has some fun holes and a creek winds through the property with water or creek on every hole providing some challenges and excitement. The problem here is the pacing, they seem to run tee times too close together. Our group was 20 minutes late starting and... More

I recently vacationed to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for a week of sun and golf, not realizing that during the end of September-October, most of the golf courses do maintenance and over-seeding of the greens and fairways. This involves closing the courses for at least a week or two, then another minimum of two weeks before the courses are worth playing.... More

I though the course was good. Play was a little slow but we finished in 4 1/2 hours, not bad for a round in March on the weekend. Good shape, nothing spectacular but all in all pretty solid course.
