This zoo was a very pleasant surprise. It's small, and not actually a commercial zoo, but rather a sanctuary for injured or rescued animals, but it had a nice environment, exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable staff, and was a big hit for both my 2- and 12-year olds--not easy to please both of them at the same time! This small zoo was not free when we visited in 2008.It cost $8.00 a person.It advertises 100 animals but many exhibits were closed or the animals were not to be seen.Many signs were barely legible as this place is run down.We went through the zoo in perhaps 15 minutes.Dont waste your time more

This is better than any large zoo I have ever been to. You can get up close to the animals, and really learn about them. They are open every day of the year and are ran totally on donations. I am having my daughter's birthday party there because she and her little friends and cousins can't get enough of this... more

Very quiet Zoo with about 100hundred Animals/birds reptiles, totally wonderful keepers who are loved by the animals , The folks at Prescott's zoo are realyy dedicated and want the public they meet to have greatime. The Animals are well cared for and seem more interested in humans than animals in other Zoo's who have a great deal more $ than... more
