They need to replace some of the silver jewelry shops with something (anything) else. There is one after the other. I would not return to this area.
And that's a good thing. Lots of fun walking around Old Scottsdale. There are a LOT of art galleries. A lot of run-of-the-mill galleries, but a few with really exceptional art. It's an enjoyable way to spend a couple of hours if you're in Scottsdale. Next time we will plan with the intent of hitting the farmers market!
We went on a Saturday morning and went to the Farmers Market on Browns Ave and 1st. 8am to 1pm.I recommend parking on 75th Street and 2nd Ave. lots of free parking and you can walk threw the civic centre gardens on your way to market and Old Town Scottsdale. Be sure to take the free trolley which runs from... More

Several places have live music - a lot of country western type of... More
Check out italian pastry at Fabio's stand (right near the entrance). Also good is the home-made pasta. One of the best brats I've ever had at Brat Hause. Tons of local and tasty food options at the Farmers Market.
The town atmosphere seems to offer something for the entire family.. The variety of dining is broad in price range and food emphasis. In nice weather the outside seating choices are great and most of the servers we have encountered at friendly and competent. The stores are a little pricey but certainly offer some unique options, nice place to find... More
