I did this excursion in October when the water level is low and there isn't much current. I recommend the Verde River Float if you want a leisurely float (with a couple of small areas where the current picked up a bit). You can paddle if you like, or just let the river take you slowly and rest your arms.... more

We've been going to Sedona every fall for four years in a row (we love the hiking and scenery). This trip we tried something we've never done before: a guided kayak tour down the Verde River through Sedona Adventure Tours. It was the best thing we did the whole trip!
