Where possible on my regular ROUTE 66 trips ,Seligman for breakfast- lunch or tea ( depending on the time factor ) . It takes me back to the good old days when life was so much more relaxed. Been" working on" a travel guide having been inspired by Route 66 and places like Seligman...and, based on a 2009 trip -... More

On this trip we drove East from Las Vegas to join Route 66 at Oatman and continued to Flagstaff AR. There are so many stopping off points if your an avid fan of the Mother Road. Seligman is certainly a place to spend a few hours. Angel & Vilma Delgadillio have been hugely responsible for creating 66 as a tourist... More

We travelled "Route 66"in August 2011 , met some incredible people , saw some sites that were breathtaking but meeting Angel was an hounour. The guy was born in the same year as my late father so it was good to talk to someone from that era although worlds apart in many ways. The guy makes sense and has done a magnificent... You don't have to be a Route 66 'road scholar' to appreciate this place, but if you are one, then you know you've reached mecca. If you aren't, prepare to be converted. The family runs the shop with friendliness and graciousness. We dropped in, in early evening, so Angel was not there, but we found out he'd be back in... More

When I got back from traveling across the country, friends and family constantly asked me what was my favorite part of the trip. Without even hesitation, I say, "Seligman, Arizona." Then, when they look at me puzzled, I tell them about the wonderful man I met, Angel. I planned the trip for a very long time and knew of Angel... More

Seligman, AZ will take you back in time. There are many buildings and other areas to take lots of pictures while here. I suggest you visit the Snow Cap Cafe now run by Juan Jr.. Juan took over after his father passed away and is doing very well in carrying on the tradition his father set. Be prepaired when you... More

This place is a real piece of route 66 history - the gift shop is full of Americana and even a Blue Peter badge and as for the barbers shop - If you're a man I suggest not shaving that day and then have a proper cut throat shave by the man himself "Angel" The shave is a real experience... More

We stopped by his gift shop and lo and behold, there he was. He came over to talk to me and my young boys and was extremely charming and kind. He told us he is in the special features of the first Cars movie...when we get home we will definitely look for him! Such a sweet guy and told us... More

The title of this review may seem odd for a gift shop better known as Angel's Barber Shop. See my related review of Delgadillo's Snow-Cap. I am admittedly a Route 66 nut of sorts. I had previously met Juan Delgadillo, and had the privilege of sharing lunch with him. Despite the ubiquitous presence of Angel around town, I had never... More

Angel and his family are so nice and they have a lot of pride in their town. My husband got a haircut from the super friendly 85-year-old Angel. What great stories he had! They have a vast assortment of Route 66 stuff for sale at reasonable prices. This place is truly a piece of Americana.
