Truly the sign says this, "Mother of All Waters." It's actually rather difficult to get a good view of the falls; imagine copper-colored lava flows and the water dispersing over it. If you are not acrophobic, then it's possible to go down to the bottom of the falls via tunnels in the rock, ladders, and even stairs that seem barely... More

Very hard to get to the bottom, but the view at the top was exceptional

I was totally blown away by Mooney Falls. No picture I've ever seen of the falls prepared me for the experience. Standing in front of a 200' waterfall and feeling the power of the water falling over the cliff was awe inspiring.

Mooney Falls is one of the most beautiful places on earth! It is a short, easy hike from Havasupai Campground. It can be viewed from the top but to get the full experience it must also be viewed from the bottom. The hike to the bottom is not for the faint of heart!
