Awesome Views. We didn't plan on heading that way. But once we got there we just found a place to park and walked out to the edge and just sat there. Quietly listening to nature. Very Relaxing for the Soul!

Enjoy the water and the views. Having this string of lakes along the Salt River made a real difference how people could live in the Valley of the Sun!

Encountered on our trip on the Apache Trail .. . absolutely beautiful lake!
Taking the road to the Canyon Lake and Tortilla Flats is undoubtedly worthwhile. After boating and ma be just admiring Mother Nature at her best you can stop over at the Tortilla Flats Restaurant. They provide excellent food and cool beverages alike. If you dare keep going the Apache Trail towards Lake Roosevelt on an unpaved road.
Beautiful lake and good resaurant at the lodge. Worth the drive on dirt road.
We drove the Apached Trail in late October. A great trip all around. The Ghost Town, Tonto National Forest, Saquaro, Cliff Dwelling climb, so much to see & enjoy.
The drive out was just beautiful! We did not spend time in or on the water but would plan for that on a future visit.
