While nothing can capture the grandeur of the canyon itself, this movie really doesn't do it any justice. Somewhat interesting for the history of man's involvement with the canyon, but too much time spent on showing navigation of the rapids and not enough on the natural beauty of the canyon. Definitely something that can be skipped if time is tight. more

We toured the rim area of the canyon, but were not able to go into the canyon. The imax movie was good. It "took" you to the canyon and down the river. The films began playing at 8:30 and was shown every hour after that. We purchased the bonus pack- 4 tickets, 4 drinks, and 3 med. popcorns- I think... more

This was my third time to see the grand canyon imax. I loved it as much this time as the other times. The movie takes you where you can't go. My kids loved it too. The staff was friendly and the price seems reasonable to me. more

IMAX movie is typical IMAX experience, but $13.50 per ticket for 30 minute presentation makes you second guess the whole thing. Just not a whole lot to say about this really. Pay $13.50, wait in a gift shop until the movie starts, watch the show for 30 minutes and leave through the gift shop. Popcorn and movie snacks available in... more

We visited Grand Canyon in April 2008. We debated about seeing this movie and as we are not serious hikers, hoped that there would be scenes from inside the canyon that we would otherwise never see. The cinematography was excellent! There are indeed many scenes that seem as if you are in a raft right on the river at the... more

The Giant Screen movie theater in Zion has an IMAX movie called "Treasure of the Gods," which is cheaper, longer, and better than the Grand Canyon Movie. $12 is a bit pricey for 30 minutes. And just because they say it's the "Most watched IMAX movie ever" doesn't mean it's the best. more

I have always enjoyed any IMAX movie I have seen, and we were not disappointed with this one. The river scenes in the movie were very good, as we, of course, we not going to get to see that part of the canyon. It was entertaining as well as educational. A good late afternoon/evening attraction, especially to get out of... more

IMAX was excellent - advised to go during day as gets busy at night, so went in the early morning and theatre was practically empty!! You almost felt as though you were in the Canyon. The photography and narration were superb and you were given an excellent history of the Canyon. I could have sat there all day watching the... more
