The trails were short and we were able to walk them all in a few hours. There's alot of opportunity to see a lot of birds in a small area. It did get warm even for the end of March and I thought they would be open earlier for that reason

For anyone who loves wildlife this is a must see if you are near Wickenburg. An early morning visit would be best when the weather...

The Cowgirl Up! artshow is great. As are the standing exhibitions of western life, weapons and clothing on the lower level. Definitely worth a visit.
The wildflowers are in full bloom, with lots of hummingbirds enjoying them in April. Walking around the lagoon gives plenty of opportunity to hear birds, and occasionally spot one through the thick foliage. Open Wed-Sun this time of year. A must see for birders and anyone looking for a pleasant stroll.
We went with a guide who explained various plant life, birds and animals. This made what would have been a nice walk into a very interesting birding event.
Great place for some short hikes in a little hidden area right of the highway from Phx. to Vegas. Small admission fee and you get a map detailing all the trails in the Preserve. The trails are easy, well maintained and one of them takes you to a great viewing spot on a small mountain so that you can really...

Easy walking and a super place to catch spring wildflowers.

It has a great little visitors center where you can learn about the history and the natural history of the area. The volunteer docents are very knowledgeable and have a good reference library on hand should you stump them with a...
