While this is breath-taking in it's basic concept of how it occurred, it isn't worth the steep entry fee, and roadside attraction glitz. the winds that day were strong throughout Northern AZ, but there, they were hurricane force. All the cars in the parking lot rocked around on their own! Most adults will spend less than 15 minutes there.

You will enjoy this place if you have interest in natural events that happened centuries ago. Our family enjoyed it tremendously

It was interesting and we were happy we went. Rather pricey, but you have no options if you want to see the crater.

It's just amazing sight. But $16 price is little too much because all you see is the meteor crater and a small museum that lacks in information. I'm a astronomy student, and the information they have in the museum is very little. Make sure you know how to take panaramic pictures if you go.

Unless you are a rock hound, I don't think the price warrants a visit to this attraction. Save your time and money and drive another hour east and visit the Petrified National Forest Monument. Less expensive and much more to see.

I called a few weeks in advance of my PCS and the very nice lady informed me that their campsite was part of the 'tents for troops' program and that my 2 days would be free! We arrived and the staff was very welcoming and the site was very nice with some of the only trees you will see for... More

Yes it is just a big hole in the ground. But what a nice meteor crater. The drive to it is beautiful, the crater is cool and the museum and gift shops are better than expected. If you are interested in geology and/or astronomy, it is well worth the trip.

This is a must do if you are in the area. Lots of truck parking and motor homes too. Great visitor's center. They also provid tours if you wish to go on it. Wonderful gift shop with a Subway right in the vsitor's center. The crateor was amazing. Go early, gets hot quick.

My wife and I enjoyed our visit to Meteor Crater. Like others have commented, the entrance fee is pricey - but it is worth seeing. Our trip with Eduardo was great. He has a light-hearted, easygoing manner and is very engaging. He relates well to others and understands that a good tour is not about imparting facts, but about making... More

Fantastic site, easy to get to from the Interstate, and like nothing else you've ever seen. Although it's privately owned and managed, the quality of information provided is a+.
