It's not too far away from the rest of the city, so go ahead and take a drive out to see this big Jesus statue. It's interesting to see and also the place where it is has a good view from a short distance of Eureka Springs and the Crescent Hotel. more

Face it, this thing looks like a milk carton with a head. It's not artistic. The only thing halfway interesting is its size. Eureka Springs is a lovely place to go, with so many talented artists. While the concept is great, and it looks ok from far away, the dimensions of the statue take away from my enjoyment. I'm a bit of a stickler on details, and the terrible scale of this statue makes it look cheesy. The size of the head, hands, etc, do not fit the body. It makes it look like a cartoon... more
I have been to see Christ of the Ozarks several times. It is a huge statue (over 7 stories, or 70 feet - not 700 as some have indicated). The very size of the statue reminds one of how small we are in the sight of God, and yet one is also reminded of just how much God loves each... more

Great Kodak moment agreed. For best lighting, go in the afternoon as the statue faces west and will catch the afternoon sun better. Getting the whole statue in shouldn't be a problem for most cameras. Park's open free all the time they said.
