We all agreed this is definately worth a visit if your near the middle of Ireland, Interesting history - check out the wailing wall ghost, but a bit priciey for admission and the cafe food was not great. Worth a once off visit.

Great location for a wedding! the Grounds are extensive and beautifully maintained. The lake shore is just a short walk from the main tourist information centre and there are lovely tables for picnics.

Beautifull house and gardens but very expensive entry charge. Not great if you have a few kids.

Visited here on our first visit to mullingar, while I would recommend anybody visiting mullingar to come here is is quiet expensive , the main attraction is the jealous wall and the house, the house is maintained in perfect condition, and the story behind belvedere is unusual, there is a lovely long walk around the grounds, and they have a... We paid €8.75 each for admission. The gardens are ok. The house is unkempt. It needs basic cleaning. THe tour was short. I paid less for admission to the Parthenon. I asked the lady at the desk if there was any book on CK Howard-Bury. "We don't sell that kind of thing", came the reply. They do sell second hand... More

Visited on what was (luckily) a sunny day. The grounds are very well maintained, and the gardens are beautiful. There is a Narnia trail, great for children or for those who never grow up! The walks are well mapped out with boards up every so often, and maps are available at reception too. They even have a cute little fairy... More
