you got to check out this place if your interested in old Irish history. there are some tours of the house which is well worth doing but get there early! gardens are magnificent and you can take as many photos as you like,

Great location for a wedding! the Grounds are extensive and beautifully maintained. The lake shore is just a short walk from the main tourist information centre and there are lovely tables for picnics.

Beautifull house and gardens but very expensive entry charge. Not great if you have a few kids.

We paid €8.75 each for admission. The gardens are ok. The house is unkempt. It needs basic cleaning. THe tour was short. I paid less for admission to the Parthenon. Visited on what was (luckily) a sunny day. The grounds are very well maintained, and the gardens are beautiful. There is a Narnia trail, great for children or for those who never grow up!
