Wonderful seaside town offering great beaches, seafood restaurants and good shopping. Lots of coffee shops to sit and enjoy the view.

take a ride in the tram to the top of the cliffs to get the view in the photo of the beach below. Stroll along the seafront and mix with the locals stop for a bite to eat along the way or maybe just and icecream from the parlour

Narrow streets and local atmosphere. See the older ladies in their traditional clothing and try the small local restaurants. Try it.

No boats pulled up on the beach anymore, but there were fish drying on racks in the sun.

Oh, this small fishing town is amazing!. I love the sea and it was absolutely breathtaking to enjoy it in Nazare. The waves looked like in the movies, better than anywhere in the world that I have been. Besides you will find that the people there still likes to dress on their typical costumes... it was so sweet to see... More

In many a write ups, I read that it was the most traditional fishing village in Portugal. But it has morphed into a tourist town.
