It's a nice surprise to find a wildlife sanctuary like Lobo Park in the south so near to the touristic Costas. This is an excellent wolf park and if the idea of seeing over 30 wolves howling in the hills around you at night appeals to you then it's well worth a visit. Visited the Lobo Park 20/06/07. Very interesting and informative walking tour with guide speaking both Spanish and English. All animals well cared for in spacious enclosures. Inexpensive at 7.50 Euros per person for the two hour tour. JRB Scotland. more
If you are staying near Antequera you might stumble across Lobo Park and not know what it is - doesn't appear to feature in guide books yet. It's an opportunity to see and learn about wolves from around the world which have been hand readed as cubs, and now live in large wooded enclosures.
