Staying in Cazorla itself offers many hotels tavernas and good restaurants. Travelling out into the valleys and hills offers wonderful views, long easy rambles and stunning little hilltop and hillside villages. Recommended for a few days of 'get away from it' exploring and walking. Lovely!!
We did the "Rio Borrosa" trail, which is beautiful, probably crowded in summer, but very quiet in october. It's completely different from the rest of Andalusia. A would absolutely avoid the village Arroyofrio for staying, it has no charm at all.
Don't miss a drive through this spectacular countryside.
Autumn colours and views were amazing. This is a Spain far removed from the Costas.
Despite temperatures in the mid 30s we did several long walks in the surrounding mountains, getting to the top of El Guilillo on one day and walking the gorge of the Rio Borosa on another. The drive to Hornos was breathtaking and we will certainly return.
