Spain doesn't do Christmas Day night but the Hotel Balcon de Europe does in some style.Pre dinner aperitifs,4 course meal including wines and liqueurs at 50euros a head.The food and service was superb.Black tie but they provided the taxi home free of charge or a very special rate for overnight accommodation.A bargain1

Just vile food for a 4 star hotel no thought given to the client, a bottoms in bed type of hotel

this makes a beautiful focal point to a very nice tourist town. Views are outstanding right along the coast. A bit put off by the local jakeys

To see the touristic and local world go by stopping at any of the restaurants / bars in the square is a good way to while away a late afternoon. If your timing is opportune you may even see a wedding or christening ceremony at the local church!

Enjoyed the entertainment that just seems to happen at odd times. Loads of different places to stop for a drink (and most of these supply nibbles while you're drinking). The constant stream of hawkers gets infuriating, especially as what they're selling looks suspicious, and that they can't take 'no' for an answer. But apart from that it's a wonderful place... More

The Balcon de Europa had a very nice view of beaches, the Mediterranean Sea, and our first view of Africa. There were pretty flowers everywhere.
