I went on the BCU 3* training course with Mark in September. We had a small group, which was great, as Mark was able to give each of us a lot of time and advice. The whole course was very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyable - I will be booking up for more in 2012. More

Ours was a two-day training course as a preparation for the 3-star award, and we certainly received the high-quality instruction that we had hoped for. On the first day, despite frequent blustery showers, we covered various paddling and rescue techniques mostly in the shelter of the bay by Mark's premises. He is calm and reassuring, and lets you get on... More

For a half day introduction, the session struck a great balance between good tuition and setting the scene with some great local history. I'll certainly be back for more time on the water. More

We had a Fantastic time with Paddle Locahaber and our instructor come tour guide Keith. We would highly recommend it to anyone who is in the area, as a fantastic way to not only go Sea Kayaking safely, but to learn a little bit more about the area and hopefully see some wildlife! More

Had a great afternoon kayaking around the loch. Having never kayaked before our instructor Mark run through the basics in the safety of the bay behind the hotel. Then out onto the loch. A great way to watch wildlife and to explore the shore lines around the loch and it's islands with stories and local history from Mark. A great... More

We booked a full days paddle for a group of six on Friday the 11th August. As I booked I asked Mark for something a bit more tailored for our group and, particularly as Paddle Lochaber have a max of six to a group to ensure proper instructoring so we had our own private group, he didn't dissapoint!! We drove... More

We decided spontaneously to do a Kayaking tour at the West Coast of Scotland when we arrived at our hotel on a nice sunny day. Luckily, our hotel was able to book as for an afternoon tour with Mark from Paddle Lochaber. Just one hour later we found ourselfs on a Kayak in Lochaber! Mark did a great job introducing... More

Booked a full day's kayaking for the family, including 13 and 14 yo boys - a great success, helped by beautiful weather. Mark at Paddle Lochaber was a patient instuctor, providing clear early instruction and then encouraging a more ambitious exploration of Loch Leven as confidence increased. Sadly didn't get to see seals or otters - will have to go... More

Really enjoyable morning paddling around the Loch. We booked for a Saturday morning (the quiet time according to Mark) so we there was only the two of us and Mark. Seeing the landscape from the loch gives you a different perspective, and its also fun to paddle around some of the islands and hear the stories associated with them, see... More

I went on a half-day trip with some friends whilst we stayed in the area. We'd done a kayaking trip the previous year with another operator based in Fort William, who'd messed up the day by mis-calculating the tides meaning we spent all day paddling against them. Mark, our guide on this trip made no such mistakes, and deftly guided... More
