Possibly the most stunning beach in the world. Also great for wildlife including curlew, stonechats, wheatears and even some highland cows at the beach. A visit to Donald Johns weaving shack on the road to Luskentyre is recommended.

Fantastic beach, white sand and turquoise sea. Absolutely stunning
Stunning beach with snow on the moutains behind. Wasnt very warm the day I visited but the fresh, clean, stunning sands and air more than made up for the temperature.. Must see....

Just back from a wonderful holiday in Luskentyre. A truly stunning place. Had lots of walks on the beach. Met Donald John Mackay the Harris Tweed weaver. Very interesting gentleman. Will definately be back on Harris .
We had an hour here as part of our single day on Harris/Lewis. Wish it were longer. Pristine white beach, all the blues you could imagine in the sea, no footprints in the softest sand, we had dogs not kids but if you have children take them to this beach. Difficult to think of a better one. Worth the trip...

Colours just stunning in sunshine! Sand goes on for ever, sea a tropical blue.
My father is from Luskentyre and I grew up on childhood holiday's here up until I was 15. I will be going back this (end) August/ September, unfortunately I will be 36 by then!
However I can clearly remember how taken and lucky I was to have such a wonderful beach/location on my doorstep as a child and spend most...
