This is a really interesting place. It was neat to see. It was kinda busy when we went so our time checking it out was limited. That kinda sucked. It tends to be extra breezy there too so bring a jacket.

I cannot use words to describe the view and the feeling I had. Maybe a picture will do it :)

It is the site where the yearly birdman was held. You can see the stone dwelling where the competitors stayed waiting for the birds to arrive. It is one of the three volcanoes on the island. It has a fresh water lake at the center. The site provides great views of the island.

Experiencing the site where the original Birdman competition took place is beyond words! You can see inside the volcano as well as the nearby islands. Just do it! Park admission ticket required.

The lake in the crater of the volcano is amazing. The view of the ocean from the top is also wonderful. It is definitely worth your time and effort to hike up here. Try to do so on a relatively clear day to ensure you get the effect of amazing color and views.

This hike is lovely and takes a few hours. The ocean views are fantastic and the crater views are of interest as well. Be sure to continue on to Orongo on tihs hike.

Our first view of this crater was stunning. Hard to believe the Rapa Nui people sledge down it. Good walking atound this area
