I visited the Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Sanctuary in December 2005. It was a nice visit to a peaceful yet somewhat isolated spot, off the main road that goes from Pointe Noire to the Kouilou River. There are small villages on the road, so the trip is somwhat scenic. You can even see the Gorges of Diosso in passing. I recommend a... more
